Small series & prototypes with Stüker-Tool-Injection (S-TIn)

Stüker-Tool-Injection (S-TIn) is a process concept for the production of small series and prototype components made of thermoplastics by injection molding. The components are produced in special tooling systems, which can be manufactured from different materials (depending on number of pieces and plastic material). The delivery time of the components, as of release of the design data, is 3 to max. 4 weeks.

Technical characteristics:

  • Maximum shot weight 230 g (PS)
  • Maximum component dimensions 350 mm x 450 mm
  • Maximum component depth 130 mm
  • Simple component geometry
  • Surface: not cosmetic, dash-polished (other surfaces possible but with extended delivery time)
  • Delivery of samples with initial sample test report according to drawing - tool output quantity up to approx. 10,000 pieces possible – depending on the used tool material and plastic raw material employed

Advantages:

  • Short component construction time
  • Low tool costs
  • Economical component costs with small quantities
  • Delivery of the components with test report
  • Use of all thermoplastics

All processes are suitable for the production of:

  • sample parts
  • prototypes
  • job-lot production
  • design pieces
  • spare parts
  • models

The surfaces of the components can be refined in the following processes:

  • water transfer printing with carbon, wood, granite, marble or other optics
  • varnishing
  • chorme, nickel or brass surfaces by galvano-technique
